RING Container Technologies Expanding with New West Coast Facility

OAKLAND, Tenn., Friday, February 10, 2012 – Ring Container Technologies, a division of
Ring Companies announces today the construction of a new, 100,000-square-foot production
facility in Modesto, Calif. The plant will manufacture HDPE (high density polyethylene) and PET
(polyethylene terephthalate) recyclable, blow-molded containers for the food industry for edible
oils, snack foods and confections.

“We’ve built our business on our one-on-one customer relationships, and we’re excited to be
opening this new facility in Modesto to better serve our customers on the West Coast,” says
Plant Manager Tom Sponder.

Ring worked locally with the Beard Land Management Company and the Stanislaus Economic
Development and Workforce Alliance in securing the site for the plant. Construction is currently
underway with production scheduled to begin April 1, 2012, bringing 24 new jobs to the Modesto
area.

“This new facility marks Ring’s first PET manufacturing venture on the West Coast and an
important investment in our future. With our Modesto plant in place, we plan on expanding and
growing our business, offering a broad range of sustainable packaging options to customers
